Sherry Kvale Garza graduated from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State) with a Masters in Educational Psychology. Sherry is a Licensed Professional Counselor and also a Registered Play Therapist. Along with being a mother of four, Sherry has been in private practice for the last five years and has worked numerous years in the school setting as a special education teacher and school counselor.

Sherry serves children (ages 2 and up), adolescents and families. Her specialization of play therapy allows children to find their voice not just orally but through their natural language, play. Sherry also integrates filial therapy, which is a well-researched psychoeducational method in which parents are trained and supervised in how to do child-centered play sessions with their own children.

Sherry provides individual or family counseling, as well as parenting support regarding special education services within the school setting.
